Council News:

This week we were sad indeed to say goodbye to long time Council member Brent Parrish at The Right Planet.

Brent is taking a hiatus from blogging to concentrate on family and business concerns, and all of us wish him the best. And of course, as a plugged in member of the WoW community, we’ll look forward to hearing from from him in the future in our Forum, our inter-Council threads and perhaps, even an article as a non-council submission if he gets the bug to write again, which we certainly hope he will.

This means we currently have a vacancy on the Watcher’s Council, the oldest and most established blogging group in the ‘sphere. Any talented, interested parties should contact me directly by leaving a comment on any story on JoshuaPundit including your name, site name and e-mail info as well as anything else you wish to include. Our Watcher’s Council Nominations – ‘Legacy’ Edition

There are a lot more bodies I could add to the pile…the dead in Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Algeria, Israel, Egypt, and Americans murdered by the illegal migrants he’s allowed in, as well as veterans whom have died in the morass of our own dysfunctional VA system. If a president like Barack Hussein Obama can tango through a record like that and not get impeached, it says a great deal about how low the bar for our leaders has become and what the American people are apparently willing to put up with. And that’s our legacy, as well as his. Think about it.

Simply disgusting in every sense. There’s no other term for this president’s conduct and demeanor.

Council News:

Council Alumni and all around great guy Michael Haltman at The Political Commentator is involved with the Heroes to Heroes Foundation, a group of former vets that helps U.S. combat veterans suffering with PTSD, jobs, housing, adjusting to civilian life and TBI. Thia was the group that was featured on Donald Trump’s rally for veterans in Iowa that raised $6 million dollars for Heroes To Heroes and other similar groups and whose Honor ring The Donald now wears. Please read his article on the group entitled ‘22 Veterans A Day In The United States Commit Suicide!’ and remember…these men and women went above and beyond for us, regardless of what you think of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The disgusting scandals in the Obama VA have meant that a lot of them have fallen through the cracks. At his rally, Donald Trump made the scathing but accurate comment that the Obama Administration treats illegal migrants better than it does many of our veterans.

I’ve checked this group out and they’re totally legitimate.Click on the above link and do what you can.

Council News:

We note with regret the departure of our dear friend Maggie of Maggie’s Notebook, who resigned her seat on the Council to concentrate on other matters. We all wish her well and will miss her, even though she will continue to be a valued part of the Council community.

But we do have some good news. Replacing Maggie in our stellar line up is The Daley Gator, who makes his debut this week. And if you haven’t previously had the pleasure of reading him, you’re in for a real treat.

This week, The Pirate’s Cove, Blazing Cat Fur,and Life News earned honorable mention status with some great articles.

You can, too! Want to see your work appear on the Watcher’s Council homepage in our weekly contest listing? Didn’t get nominated by a Council member? No worries.

To bring something to my attention, simply head over to Joshuapundit and post the title and a link to the piece you want considered along with an e-mail address (mandatory, but of course it won’t be published) in the comments section no later than Monday 6PM PST in order to be considered for our honorable mention category. Then return the favor by creating a post on your site linking to the Watcher’s Council contest for the week when it comes out on Wednesday morning

Simple, no?

It’s a great way of exposing your best work to Watcher’s Council readers and Council members while grabbing the increased traffic and notoriety. And how good is that, eh?

So, let’s see what we have for you this week….
